    Requirements for the Main Product Photo on the Amazon Marketplace

    The main product image on the Amazon platform is the first product photo buyers will see when browsing products among Amazon search results. The main product photo attracts the buyer and encourages them to view more information while simultaneously meeting the following requirements:

    • The main product photo must be on a completely white background (white background matches Amazon's search and product pages - RGB color values 255, 255, 255).
    • The main product photo must be a professional, real product photo (graphics and additional illustrations are not allowed). The photo should not include accessories or add-ons that are sold separately.
    • Main product photos must not contain additional text, logos, frames, color blocks, watermarks, or other graphics.
    • The main product photo must show only one image of the product (no multiple, grouped images are allowed).
    • The main product photo must show the entire product being sold. The product cannot be cropped in the photo, except for jewelry and accessories.
    • In main product photos, products must be photographed without packaging. Boxes, bags, or cases should not be visible in the photo. An exception is made only if it is a very important feature of the product.
    • Main photos must not show a human model. An exception is made when the product is related to the mobility category (wheelchairs, prosthetics, etc.).
    • In product set photos (a product set consists of several items, such as 5 different colored shirts), products must be displayed without a model (flat).
    • In clothing accessory photos, no supporting items holding the product (mannequin parts, hangers, etc.) should be visible.
    • Main photos of women's and men's clothing must be photographed on a live model.
    • Children's and infants' clothing product photos must be photographed without a model (flat).
    • Main shoe photos must show one shoe, turned to the left at a 45-degree angle.

    General Requirements for Product Photos on the Amazon Marketplace

    On the Amazon marketplace, you can upload up to 9 product photos. Only the first 7 product photos (or 6 if you upload a product video) will be displayed with the product.

    • Product photos must accurately reflect the product being sold.
    • Product photos must match the product title.
    • The product image in the photo must occupy at least 85% of the total photo area.

    • Product photo formats can be JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg), TIFF (.tif), PNG (.png), or GIF (.gif) files. JPEG format is the most preferred. The Amazon marketplace does not support animated .gif files.
    • Product photos must not contain nudity or sexual content. Photos of baby and children's products (underwear or swimwear) must not depict live models.
    • Product photos must not use Amazon logos, trademarks, graphics, or their variations that may mislead buyers. For example: "Amazon", "Prime", "Alexa", "Amazon Smile", Amazon’s Choice", "Premium Choice", "Best seller", "Top seller".

    • Product video format 16:9, minimum size - 1280 x 720 px.
    • Product video file formats: MP4, MOV, 3GP, AAC, AVI, FLV, or MPEG-2.
    • Audio track requirements: 128 kbps, 44 kHz or higher.
    • There is no limit on the length of product videos. However, the recommended duration is no more than 2 minutes.
